Don’t wait, you’ll miss it!! Only a few more weeks left of these great water levels!

Thats right, I said great! Not scary and dangerous like the news has been telling you. Awesome sections of the Roaring Fork and Crystal Rivers are only available to raft during the runoff season. Don’t let the news stories scare you away! Yes, the water is high in some places, but that means it’s at the perfect level for beautiful floats that aren’t normally available this time of year. Runs like Slaughterhouse Falls, and the Upper/Middle sections of the Roaring Fork, and the beautiful rare float on the Crystal River, won’t be around all summer. Now, more than ever before, is the best time of year to be on the river!! The weather is warm, and the rivers are safe and more fun than ever. Check out this video of people having fun with us this year floating though Snowmass Canyon on the Upper Roaring Fork River. Don’t wait to call, as the smallest and most personable company available, we’re filling up fast as the Fourth of July holiday weekend approaches fast!

Dads RAFT FREE* all week!

Happy Fathers Day! We are  happy to announce a gift to all fathers who raft with us this week. Dads will RAFT FREE with 3 paying customers. It is the best time of year to be on the river, we are experiencing record flows that make the rafting better than ever. The Roaring Fork River has a great variety of trips available, the white knuckle Class IV Slaughterhouse Falls, and beautiful scenic Middle Fork float, to the Lower Fork and “cemetery rapid” with family friendly rolling waves. Don’t forget about the Crystal River, as the only company to offer this wonderful free flowing beauty, this trip is only available during spring run off, and very few get to experience this gem!

Off and running

Not only is our company off and running, but so is the water in the rivers!  Today we were treated to a trip that spans all three of the rivers we run when we took the graduating seniors of Colorado Rocky Mountain School.

It is our Lower Fork run that begins on the Crystal river before flowing into the Roaring Fork river for the majority of the trip and then concludes just past the confluence with the Colorado river.

A mild trip that had the 5 experienced girls in my boat laughing and squealing the whole way.  The water level is just enough to turn the usually small waves into ones that allow you to get splashed constantly.

The brave seniors went without wetsuits and although the water is cold (as tested by some of them swimming) the sun’s rays dried and warmed everyone quickly.  We wish these young adults all the best in their future endeavors and thank them for going down the river with “Up Tha Creek.”
